Kelsey Ball is somewhat of a mixed breed. Born in the USA and raised in the tropical island of Bermuda, she has a unique perspective on music, culture and life in general. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a double major in Psychology and Music and she was an active hip-hop dancer, musician and writer in her community. Having begun the violin at age 3 and the flute at age 8, music has always been an integral part of her life. While her music tastes are diverse, ranging from avant-garde minimalism to hip hop and r&b, her true passion is for reggae and dancehall. Interestingly, she plans to ultimately pursue a career in forensic psychology and mental health counseling, but she has no doubt that the arts will continue to play a central role in her life.
