Photojournalist: Ryan Barsanti
Originally from Long Island, New York, Ryan has been primarily raised in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area since 1993. After high school, he bounced around from Richmond, Charlottesville, Nags Head and Long Island before settling back down in Fredericksburg in ought five with a new appreciation and appetite for what the town has to offer. He has worked loading train cars, processing photos, delivering pizzas, selling used cars, selling koi, and spent five years in special education. He is currently working at a few downtown bars. Ryan loves to document life on film, and is exceptionally passionate about capturing the energy present at live shows. He enjoys exploring boundaries, be they artistic, geographical, philosophical, or social. A few of Ryan's favorite artists are Saul Williams, Queens of the Stone Age, Glassjaw, Every Time I Die, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, A Perfect Circle, Alien Ant Farm, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, and of course, Parliament. He now loathes writing in third person.
