Silo Effect on Film
A behind the scenes look at an anticipated local release...
Richmond - In the summer of 2010, the Silo Effect spent three days at Sound of Music Studios recording their debut EP Treehouse, accompanied by filmmaker Les Owen. Intent on capturing the young band's first attempt at the recording process, Owen edited the footage into The Silo Effect: The Treehouse Session, a film documenting not only the ups and downs of those three days, but also the persistence of the individual musicians that has enabled their growth since forming several years ago. Dedicated to their fans, the film will premiere to the public on Saturday, December 4 at 2 P.M. in a FREE showing at the Byrd Theatre at the bands' insistance that their friends, families, and fans get the chance to see the film on the big screen free of charge. Show your support for this local band and local filmmaker, and look for complete coverage of both the film and the album that inspired it in next month's issue of Magazine33...
